The early years
Born in Portugal from Portuguese parents,
Nelson moved at a very young age to France.
He started playing the piano and eventually moved to playing the electric guitar.
He listened to music of Eric Clapton and Stevie Ray Vaughan to improve his soloing skills.
He considered himself more as a soloist at the time, focusing on playing guitar solos with bands.
Even though he was already into music, he was more involved in painting at the time.
He felt that he was not able to share his experience with other people.
“With painting you only get to share the end result whereas with music, even though you write the songs on your own, when you perform them on stage, it comes to life and you can see how people react to it.”
This is according to Nelson a very important part of why he decided to pursuit music.

More into live performances
One of the things that got him more passionate about being a musician is jumping on stage and just jamming with people randomly.
His first performance was at a wedding, surprising a friend that got married.
Another early experience of Nelson performing live was taking part of "Fête De La Musique,” a festival that takes place every 21th of June in France.
It was during his studies in Canada that he first got his international experience, which eventually got him the opportunity to go to the Netherlands.
In The Netherlands he occasionally performed during open sessions at a live music bar called De Werft. At that time the music scene was very dynamic in Noordwijk and the chance to exchange ideas about music and collaborate were present.
His First music release and touring
For his first official EP Album, which came out in 2015 called Nelson Unplugged, he had worked alongside Rob of "The Box Muziekcentrum" and had backing vocals recorded by Tessa, the main vocalist of the band The Beholders.

Nelson has been touring with a few musicians for the past 3 years.
He was a member of the Red Haze Unplugged Tour in 2016, a tour where four singer/songwriters decided to tour across The Netherlands.
Because of the success of this tour, they made the decision to continue the tour in 2017.
The tour of 2017 was called The Yellow Acoustic Tour.
Future projects and music plans
His focus for the past 3 years was mainly on promoting the songs that he wrote throughout the years.
This year he is ready to get back into songwriting and to do some new music recording.
This time he wants to be fully involved in the process.
He is in pursuit of getting a high quality recording and to continue perform live.
